Emadlangeni color run
Emadlangeni Mayor ML Buthelezi led the Utrecht Street Carnival which was hosted by J Pores Helping Hand organisation.
The carnival started with a 5km walk/run to Balele Game Park, followed by a host of other activities including indigenous games. The Mayor highlighted that participation in healthy lifestyle activities is a key priority in his office as such programs help the youth to stay occupied and out of trouble. He also mentioned the health benefits associated with a healthy lifestyle such as prevention of diabetes, hypertension and other chronic diseases.
